An accomplished finance and governance leader with more than thirty years' experience in audit and assurance, forensic and litigation support, taxation and strategic advisory.
Steven was a Senior Equity Partner of PKF South Australia for more than ten years, retiring from the partnership in December 2023. He then served as Chief Financial Officer of Supashock, a global entity in the Defence and Advanced Manufacturing sectors, until November 2025, before founding Simmons Russo Chartered Accountants.
He has guided complex organisations through financial, regulatory and reputational challenges across government, not-for-profit, listed and privately-held sectors, and is recognised for integrity, technical depth and a values-driven approach to financial leadership.
Steven has presented and chaired professional development sessions for CA ANZ, IPA, the Governance Institute of Australia, the Auditors Institute, NDS and the Law Society on financial reporting, auditing standards, SMSFs, the not-for-profit sector and statutory trust accounts.
